Good Advice

I joined Southern Magic, the Birmingham chapter of Romance Writers of America in July. I’ve met some wonderful ladies with a wealth of writing knowledge they have so graciously shared.

One piece of advice was, “if you’re going to be a writer, act like a writer.” So, I did some work on this much neglected blog and joined Twitter (still trying to figure that one out). With the upcoming Readers Luncheon on November 3, I came up with an idea to promote myself and my new book. In My Wildest Dreams is due to be released soon from Soul Mate Publishing and to help get the word out, my sweet daughters helped me make dreamcatcher key chains and attached them to my new business cards. Now those will be included in the goody bags given to the attendees of the luncheon.

I’m looking forward to being in Birmingham again and hearing the wonderful speakers lined up for the day. For all the details, visit http://www.southernmagic.org/luncheon.html.
