Thursday’s Tasty Temptations

Tomorrow is New Year’s Day.

The traditional menu for the first day of the new year is peas to bring us luck and greens for lots of cash. We use the ham bone left from the Christmas meal to season the vegetables for the New Year’s dinner. Any green leafy vegetable should do. Collards, turnip greens, or cabbage along with peas of some kind. Fry up some cornbread and you have yourself a meal fit for a king!

Here are some pics to spark an idea or two for your New Year’s Day meal.
